Value is key, the 4.25 offers what I believe to be tremdous value in the shape of the Paul Nicholls inmate Dreamcatching.

The son of Al Namix made his debut over fences at Newton Abbot in June, a well beat 5th, a couple of novicy jumps  mixed with some slick fencing offered a great deal of promise for the battles ahead.

This was his first run since last November. The word from Ditcheat is he really needed the run at Newton Abbot and has come on plenty, fitness wise, since the race. It should be noted that his debut over fences was over 2m and he has already won at Wincanton over Hurdles on this type of ground over 2m4f so we wont have any worries about the trip or the ground.

The feeling from connections and to my eye is that not only will he come on for his debut but there is every chance he is a very well handicapped horse having won twice over hurdles off 129 and only having a mark of 115 today, on this his second run over fences.

Whilst paying due attention to the fact that he is still a novice, we have to factor this into the price we think is his true chance in the race, 9/1 best price at time of writing offers great value for an EW bet.

Whoshotwho is the 15/8 fav at time of writing and is miles to short in the market even though he may well be the one to beat but having said that it should be noted he did get beat over lesser marks than the one he has today, running over hurdles.

So for the reasons stated, plus with most of the field making their debuts over fences, I am happy to take the fav on with Dreamcatching with a 1pt ew bet advised.

Best of luck everyone and thanks for reading. looking forward to making the site as enjoyable for you as its for myself and Pete writing our thoughts on it.
