Not a race I would normally get involved in. However the whole race revolves around one horse for me and that comes in the shape of Running in Heels.

Not the greatest pedigree in the world it has to be said. Certainly not one that jumps out at you. However, this Gavin Cromwell trained daughter of September Storm seems to be in red hot form. Winning her last two over hurdles and fences, she returns to hurdles tonight.

Her penultimate win over hurdles at Bellewstown was interesting. Held up to come with a run between last two, her jockey giving her a target to aim at, she was hampered by a loose horse after the last, she switched round it and still got up on the line with a late thrust.

Now to be fair, their was a bit of an optical illusion at work here, it looked for the world as if she had dramatically quickend which too a certain extent she had, but in truth the placed horses were slowing down dramatically and that created somewhat of an illusion. However it was impressive the way she checked, pulled round the loose horse and quickend again through the line, all between the short distance from the last Hurdle to the winning post.

Her last outing over fences at Limerick was almost a rerun of the above mentioned race, held up, given a target to aim at between last to fences, ( no loose horse this time) jumped to the front over the last and was well in control all the way to the line.

The 2nd Fav in this race, Wee Tiger took 28 attempts to win a race and isnt exactly follow up material so I fully expect Running in Heels to at least go very close here and I have her as a 2/1 shot in this with 4/1 and bigger the field.

But, as it is a handicap of a lower grade than I would normally bet in I can only put a minimum bet of 1pt win on Running in Heels
