I’m reviewing this race because it’s all about Under Surveillance,

This 5 year old National Hunt bred chestnut mare has got some heart, the bumper she won easily in June at Kilbeggan had Present In Court 12 lengths back in third and he has recently won a good maiden at Downpatrick only a few days ago.

With the Gavin Cromwell trained Biddy The Boss a nose second and the Willie Mullins trained Little Nugget a further one and a quarter lengths third, there will be races to win from those two, this gives substance to the form we are looking at.

When I saw her entered for a Two mile hurdle I was a bit disappointed because this daughter of Flemensfirth already wants two and half miles but I was still interested in how she would run and jump.

She was 7/2 during the day but drifted out to 9/1 at one stage which does suggest today wasn’t her day, but she ran a very eye catching race in my opinion.

Held up just off the pace, made head way 2 out and was pushed wide a little but stayed on stoutly, she looked and ran like she wanted to get there but this trip just wasn’t quite long enough but she only went down by one and half lengths at the line.

Judging by her action she won’t mind soft ground, so definitely one for the tracker over 2 and half miles, where we will be waiting to pounce.

Thanks for reading
