Roscommon 2.35 Mares Maiden Hurdle Review

Earlier we advised that you put the Irish Horse Under Surveillance in your trackers and must be backed when stepped up in trip and maybe softer ground also.

Yesterday’s trip was over 2 miles on good ground so it wasn’t a bet for us. She did however start off as a 7/4 favourite and travelled well, she was getting involved when a horse came down in front of her over the fourth last and was brought down giving the jockey no chance.

Weather she would have beat the comfortable winner light Of My Life, who is a proper 2 miler by Yeats, is debatable, but we were right not to get involved. She has a good attitude and imo slower ground and longer trip will make her jumping more controlled, as her breeding suggests and that’s when we’ll step in. This was a good example to stick with what we know, what we’ve seen and our experience.

Best of luck everyone
