3.00 Hexham 2m4f Class 4 National Hunt Handicap Hurdle run on Good Ground

The standout horse to take out of this race and one for the Tracker, is the Lucinda Russell trained Jump For Dough.

This one has been in Pete and Mines tracker since last season and we have been waiting for the right conditions to plough in because make no mistake about it, this is a winner of more races waiting to happen

This son of Milan jumped and travelled very well for a long way against a very much inform Vivant, until he got tired and outpaced. Clearly he needed the run and will come on for it plus the 2m4f was an inadequate trip for this stamina laden lad.

Already a winner over 3 miles on soft ground at Musselburgh ,twice, his trainer thought him good enough to take his chance in a decent Class 2 National Hunt Handicap Hurdle at Musselburgh, which turned out to be his last run back in February.

He ran a cracker only beaten just over four lengths in finishing a close fifth to the Nigel Twiston Davis trained Calett Mad (rated 142) with others behind rated in the 130s, so excellent substance to the race for us to work with going forward.

With more improvement to come and only rated 117 a good handicap over 3 miles or maybe further on soft ground should bear fruit. Track wise, he is probably ok on flat galloping tracks, but personally I think he will be even better on a galloping demanding track like Wetherby in soft ground or a return to Hexham or a trip to Ayr would also suit.

One for your tracker
