Well, Mother Nature took a hand last night and by the time I had realised it had rained suffiently in Limerick to change the ground, it was too late, bets were on and we just had to suck it up.

Without wishing to sound arrogant I am convinced we would have had at least two winners last night, maybe more had it not been for the rain.

In the 6.15 Novice Hurdle, Ejayteekay has never won or looked remotley like winning over hurdles with anything resembling cut in the ground. If the ground dries up again, and it probably will, watch out for Ejayteekay

It clearly suited Feeling The Love who acted on it and was far better for it. Indeed, I think her connections found something out about her last night and such was the way she travelled in the rain softend ground,it would not suprise me if she was put away now for an Autumn campaign on ground with cut.

In the 7.20, Running in Heels couldnt pick up in that ground off top weight and should be forgiven, again redemption awaits on good ground as long as she can hold her form and the ground dries up quick.

In the 7.50, Ravenhill was the only one to run a race for us and on good ground would have won,

I am convinced. High Nellie, the fav, loves cut in the ground and would not have run nearly so well as she did had it not rained and the ground had stayed good or faster. Its as simple as that.

The 8.25, well all the similar comments above apply, Castle Howard, who is flat bred, did not act on the ground and his jockey was sending out all the wrong signals from some way out. He clearly did not act on the ground and one look at his action passing the post the first time round told you our bet had already gone west and yours truly was running round the room like Basil Fawlty screaming at the almighty as to why the hell he had to send the expletive rain on that one night when it hadnt expletive rained for expletive weeks !

All in all an expletive awful evening !!
